Sustainability Statement
Needless creation of waste and single use of materials has caused untold damage to our planet.
We are all experiencing the damage that has been done to our planet through the careless use of our natural resources.
As a result, people are increasingly demanding reassurance of the sound provenance of products and the materials that are used to make them.
At Henry Wag we recognise this and have put in place a program to minimise the negative impact our brand has on the planet.
Also, as consumers start to care more, they are seeking out genuinely eco-conscious brands and best-practice behaviours from the companies they engage.
Many consumers have the choice to prioritise environmental concerns when making buying decisions and actively seek out sustainable design and zero-waste products for the benefit of themselves and the planet.
This consumer position driven by millennials and Gen Z consumers puts the onus on suppliers to offer desirable products which fulfil the goal of all-round sustainability.
Therefore, at Henry Wag our objective is to reduce waste (including CO2), create sustainable design and use materials which are recycled or renewable. We are undertaking this through the following:
Net Zero
We are in the second year of our journey to Net Zero, having assessed our business, identified areas for improvement and taken action.
These include movement to Electric vehicles, installation of solar panels and resourcing of products reducing product miles.
Sustainability
Many of our products are manufactured using polyester fibres. Our objective is to move to using recycled materials wherever possible.
Product lines targeted for change are the drying ranges, In car products and the fabric coats.
In addition, we will review the use of plant-based fibres for use in our range and in new product development.
Furthermore, we will move to FSC approved card in our product packaging and outer cartons.
Waste
Single use plastics are already 95% eliminated from our range. All packaging will be fully recyclable by the end of 2024.
We have, for 2 years, recorded the packaging materials and weights for all products in the Henry Wag range.
Disclosure
We have engaged with BuyerDoc to provide live local language specific information to the consumer on product waste, recyclability, sustainability and washing information by way of a 2D barcode on all new packs.
